Starbucks Apron Poster

This project involved simplifying a glass mug photograph, while emphasizing essential details. It examines the negative space and translates shadows into dynamic compositions, while still retaining enough information to give the audience an understanding of the original object. First, I captured a reference photo for the mug.

Presented here is an initial rough sketch of the photograph, serving as a foundational reference.

Through multiple revisions, this refined version demonstrates various levels of shadowing for reference. Although it is still in the early stages of development and contains significant noise, the next steps involve simplification and the retention of essential details.

The final version achieves a sleek, reflective appearance that distinctly highlights the range of shadows from the photograph. Areas with multiple, smaller strokes layered together emphasize where some shadows gradually fade out.
